Geostationary satellites: orbit over equator in sync with Earth's rotation appearing fixed in the sky about 7o below the celestial equator from the UK. This sequence shows Sky TV's Astra cluster of geo-sats over about an hour and then passing into Earth's shadow - the streaks are star-trails from the stationary camera. The rapidly fading geo-sat [left] unidentified.
