The paper in The Astrophysical Journal, 6572:1006-1011,2002 June 20 ; "A wall of dust around a proto-Mira?" by Albert A.Zijlstra [Dept of Physics - UMIST- Manchester- UK] and R.Weinberger [Institut fur Astrophysik- Innsbruck- Austria]
refers to my spectrum of 1999 December [in red below] and BVRI photometry by Roger Pickard - BAA Variable Star Section Director as requested by the Authors for star GSC 4041:1743 at RA 02h 12m 58.21s; Dec+63o 47' 2.7"[E2000.0] = IRAS 02091+6333; an assumed M3III type star with huge circumstellar shell.

1999 Dec 27-29: Two sessions recording stars that show an IR excess selected remotely via the electronic finder [above] riding piggy-back on the LX200. These were located in Cassiopeiae and near M1, M45 and M42. Most proved to be M-type spectra or occasionally G/K-type. Surprisingly six stars later identified as variables - two in the IR region !The emission spectrum of M42 and filaments in M1 record H-alpha and OIII [oxygen] - the latter is less commonly referenced for M1.
