1999 June 27 - an excellent BAA exhibition and chance to meet old friends - a meeting I've not missed for over 25 years! The standard of observations [drawings, photos and CCDs] on all the many Sections was as high as ever although there were fewer trade stands this year. Terry Platt [Starlight Xpress] demoed the big MX9 chip at full 752 x 580 resolution via some fancy software and I was able to display some equipment photos and spectrograms via the SBIG spectrometer emailed by SBIG the previous evening.  Maurice Gavin
