2000 June 24 - a return to the London Guildhall University opposite the Tower of London for an excellent BAA exhibition and chance to meet old friends with over 200 members in attendance.  The standard of observational drawings, photos and CCD images on all the many Sections and Society stands was as high as ever although the number of  trade stands were down.   The formal meeting, held in a nearby lecture theatre, included the annual BAA Awards presented by Dr Nick Hewitt - President.  Additional awards were made by Bob Mizon - CfDS Co-ordinator and Jonathan Shanklin - Comet Section Director.  Prof. Peter Clegg of Queen Mary & Westfield College concluded the meeting with an excellent lecture outlining his recent collaborative results on the fate of the ever expanding universe - Let there be light - a new insight into the Big Bang.
