main SN spectra page
1999 Aug 21: SN1999dn was well-placed in NGC 7714 [Psc] - an interactive galaxy with ajoining NGC 7715. It was discovered by the Beijing SN Team two days previously. Subsequently classified by pro spectroscopy as type 1c at max light of mv16 it proves too faint for a WPO spectrum. However in attempting to do so the host galaxy stellar core [~mv13] appears to show emission lines of OIII [500.7nm] and H-alpha [656.3nm].
